There isn’t a right or wrong answer for what the Cleveland Browns<\/a> should do in the 2026 NFL Draft, especially with the sixth pick. As things currently stand, the Browns could either trade the pick, take an offensive player to pair with one of their many quarterbacks, or attempt to improve on the defensive side of the football.<\/p>\n

Cleveland, unfortunately, has so many holes that it’s almost impossible to suggest that it shouldn’t take the best player available on its board and go from there. That’s just the reality of the situation.<\/p>\n

According to a report, it continues to sound like the Browns could go in a few different directions, with Carnell Tate possibly emerging as an option for them at No. 6.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost teams believe Cleveland will take a receiver like Tate or tackle like Mauigoa here\u2014and I\u2019d agree that if they get stuck here that\u2019s the likely result. But as we get closer to the draft, I\u2019ve heard them connected to a couple of other linemen, in Alabama\u2019s Kadyn Proctor and Georgia\u2019s Monroe Freeling.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSix would be rich for either of them, I believe. But if the Browns could somehow engineer a move down, then maybe they\u2019d be in a more appropriate spot to take one or the other. Or they could just take Tate (or even Tyson) at 6, and then trade up from 24 to get their tackle. We\u2019ll see,\u201d Albert Breer wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ending up with somebody like Tate would be a very good outcome for Cleveland, but I also understand if it wants to fall back and let another team make that decision.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, I think it’s also important to recognize that Cleveland needs a lot of help on offense, and whether it’s Shedeur Sanders or Deshaun Watson, finding a legitimate WR1 should be a priority.<\/p>\n
