On Tuesday, during a live stream on the Kansas City Chiefs\u2019 official YouTube channel, head coach Andy Reid briefly spoke about Justin Fields. The topic came up when he was asked about the importance and capabilities of the backup quarterback in Patrick Mahomes\u2019 absence.<\/p>\n
\u201cI appreciate Justin and the way he\u2019s gone about everything so far,\u201d Reid began. \u201cI mentioned down at the owner meetings that we didn\u2019t bring him in to be a gadget guy. Although he can do every gadget there is, but we didn\u2019t bring him in to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
The coach added, \u201cHe\u2019s a legitimate quarterback, a starting quarterback in the National Football League, and we\u2019re lucky enough to have him here.
