A crucial yet often overlooked aspect of any NFL<\/a> offense is the role of the offensive linemen in protecting the quarterback. Without a solid group of tackles and guards, the outcome of a game can be decided in the blink of an eye.<\/p>\n

Rashawn Slater of the Chargers, who was drafted at No. 13 back in 2021, is the league\u2019s highest-paid offensive lineman, inking a four-year, $114 million contract last July. The Buccaneers\u2019 Tristan Wirfs and Penei Sewell of the Lions are also among today\u2019s top offensive tackles, having earned significant contracts based on their performance.<\/p>\n

Many teams will look to strengthen their offensive lines in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On bet365<\/a>, the odds for more than 7.5 first-round offensive linemen selections are set at -330.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s an overview of the betting odds for the several offensive line prospects expected to be picked in this year\u2019s draft, including indications of who the market thinks will be the first selected at the position.<\/p>\n

There is a two-man battle brewing for the first offensive lineman drafted between Miami\u2019s Francis Maulgoa and Utah\u2019s Spencer Fano.<\/p>\n

Mauigoa\u2019s role was instrumental to the Hurricanes\u2019 run to the national championship game, as he functioned as Carson Beck\u2019s primary tackle throughout the College Football Playoff.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-5 All-American is -130 and -125 on DraftKings and bet365, respectively, to be the first offensive tackle taken on Thursday.<\/p>\n

However, on the prediction market, Kalshi<\/a>, an overflow of volume shifted toward Fano midday on Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Betting on the NFL? <\/p>\n

When the market opened on March 24th, Maulgoa opened with a 61.4 percent implied chance; that number soared to 74.8 percent on April 10.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At around 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Fano lapped Maulgoa and now holds 47 percent of the market.<\/p>\n

Fano had a strong performance at the combine, flashing a 4.91 40-yard dash time, and has experience at both right and left tackle.\u00a0Apparently, the market agrees and is making this a photo finish.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rounding out the crop are a pair of SEC players in Georgia\u2019s Monroe Freeling and Alabama\u2019s Kadyn Proctor, as well as Olaivavega Ionae of Penn State.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While they don\u2019t have plenty of draw to be the first linemen off the board, all three are expected to be gone by pick No. 20.\u00a0<\/p>\n
