Barring a trade down, Love is a strong possibility.”

Love would add an element of explosiveness to a Cardinals offense that desperately needs in its offense. Arizona is rolling out Jacoby Brissett once again as its starting quarterback next season, so adding Love to the running game would immediately lift the offense’s floor in its first season with Mike LaFleur calling the plays.

Love is one of the best running back prospects to come out of college in recent years. In 2025, the Notre Dame product ran for 1,372 yards on 199 carries with 18 touchdowns, earning a spot as a Heisman Trophy finalist. In what is perceived as a weak running back class, there will be plenty of teams in the top 10 going after Love, and the Cardinals will likely have first dibs on him at No. 3.

In some ways, the Arizona Cardinals hold a lot of cards in the upcoming NFL Draft.
