April 23 (UPI) — The Baltimore Ravens picked up the fifth-year option on wide receiver Zay Flowers’ rookie deal, keeping him under contract through 2027.<\/p>\n

Sources told ESPN<\/a>, The Athletic<\/a> and the Schultz Report<\/a> about the move on Thursday. Flowers would make about $27.2 million in 2027 under the teams of the pact.<\/p>\n

Flowers, who joined the Ravens as the No. 22 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, made the Pro Bowl each of the last two years. He totaled a career-high 86 catches for 1,211 yards, with six total scores, over 17 starts last season.<\/p>\n

Flowers made 237 catches for 3,128 yards and 16 touchdowns over the first 50 appearances of his NFL career.<\/p>\n

The Ravens started their off-season program April 6. They held voluntary minicamp Monday through Wednesday. Baltimore’s organized team activities are scheduled for May 18, 19, 21 and 26 to 28 and June 1, 2 and 4.<\/p>\n
