And yes, Tyson has a rather lengthy injury history over his collegiate career. But a healthy Tyson has arguably the most upside of any pass catcher in this entire draft class.

Jordyn Tyson Fantasy Football Outlook With The New Orleans Saints

All offseason, I’ve been mocking wide receivers to the Saints. Not only is there a glaring need at the position, but the offense is also so fantasy-friendly. Kellen Moore came in last season and, per usual, implemented a fast-paced offense. The Saints led the NFL in no-huddle rate last year (22.7%), while their 2.2 plays per minute also paced the league. Pace and play volume will certainly be on Tyson’s side right out of the gate.

Moore is also going to utilize plenty of motion, which benefited Olave quite a bit. This past season, the Saints used shift-motion 63% of the time (5th), a 9% increase from 2024. Olave, meanwhile, ran the eighth-most routes from motion (91), getting him plenty of free releases and easy looks. Tyson is a tremendous separator, but those schemed, layup looks would be welcomed, especially as a rookie.

Simply put, the Saints need more help at wideout. The year started without a productive duo of Olave and Rashid Shaheed, but once the latter was moved at the deadline, no other receivers made an impact. From Week 10 on, Olave dominated, posting a 31% target share and 27% TPRR. The next closest wideout? Devaughn Vele at 18% and 16%, respectively.

Should You Plan to Draft Jordyn Tyson?

If you like upside, then absolutely.

Disregarding health, Tyson has the highest ceiling of any wideout in this draft class. And the pace of play in New Orleans allows for enough plays for Olave to remain a must-start fantasy wideout in our fantasy football rankings, while Tyson can truly enter fantasy lineups early and often.

Tyson’s skill set is conducive to earning targets at a relatively high rate, which will make him more than fantasy relevant. His league-winning upside is likely capped with the presence of Olave, but Tyson can post top-36 numbers in an ascending Saints offense.

2026 Scouting Report For Jordyn Tyson

Turns out being coached by Hines Ward will help your progression as a wide receiver.

Tyson has the ability to play every role as a wideout, whether it’s inside or outside. He’s a mastermind route-runner, creating separation against press coverage more often than not. And even when the space between him and a defender isn’t the greatest, Tyson can make up for it with tremendous body control and desire at the catch point.

Of course, the main knock against Tyson as a prospect is health. He suffered a brutal season-ending injury in 2022, followed by a broken collarbone in 2024. This past season, Tyson suffered multiple hamstring injuries, though it appears the latter is no longer a concern. If the main concern regarding a player is health, it probably means they are pretty damn good at football. But as the cliche says, “the best ability is availability.”

For a more in-depth breakdown of Tyson’s game, check out our Jordyn Tyson scouting report.

<img alt="New to Fantasy Life?
