Delane was almost exclusively an outside corner across his time at Virginia Tech and LSU, recording 95% of his career snaps on the outside. He expressed his availability to play all over the Chiefs’ defense, however, when asked about his versatility on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Specifically, here’s what Delane said in regard to potentially manning the slot in Kansas City:<\/p>\n
“[I’m] super comfortable [in the slot]. I love playing inside \u2013 I think that’s almost even more fun,” Delane said. “You’re closer to the ball, you’re in more runs fits and you can blitz more. I think the more responsibly, the more fun it is. I’m excited.”<\/p>\n
5. Delane is originally from Maryland.<\/p>\n
A native of Maryland who grew up just outside of Washington D.C, Delane attended a pair of high schools \u2013 first Landon School and then Archbishop Spalding \u2013 where he established himself as one of the top prospects in the state.<\/p>\n
