If you are fan of the Los Angeles Rams nothing to see her other than the Rams taking a quarterback in the first round of the NFL Draft. But NFL teams do that all the time! Right? There is no news here. Just normal everyday NFL team stuff.<\/p>\n
Welcome to L.A., Ty Simpson. People will have their opinions, and they should! But the facts are the facts. Simpson will be a quarterback for the Rams. A future starter? A long-term player? We do not know. What we do know is the Rams made a move, and it\u2019s totally normal. Did I say normal enough times, yet?<\/p>\n
If you think it\u2019s a crazy move, you\u2019re right. I agree. It\u2019s insane, and the Rams are as unpredictable as ever. At this point, the only thing they can do crazier is add another quarterback through the draft. I wouldn\u2019t count them out of that possibility either, as unlikely as it may seem.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo team pulled off a bigger surprise than the Los Angeles Rams<\/a> on Thursday night, picking Ty Simpson at No. 13 overall. Though the Rams had been linked to Simpson during the pre-draft process, no one thought they would take him that early. He was viewed as more of a late-first-round or second-round prospect.<\/p>\n \u201cSo on Thursday, with the 13th pick in the NFL draft, the Rams<\/a> looked beyond the Matthew Stafford<\/a> era to the future.<\/p>\n The Rams selected Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson<\/a>, making him the heir apparent to the reigning NFL most valuable player.<\/p>\n \u201cI was just super blessed and super excited,\u201d Simpson told reporters during a videoconference. \u201cThe fact that an organization like the Los Angeles Rams believed in me, took a chance on me, it\u2019s just something that I\u2019m so grateful for.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThroughout much of the Los Angeles Rams offseason, the common theme has surrounded the idea of \u201cwin now\u201d and being \u201call in.\u201d This is a team that entered the offseason with two first-round picks after making the NFC Championship Game. For many, the focus was closing the gap and doing what was needed to win another Super Bowl. When the Rams and Les Snead took Ty Simpson<\/a> with the 13th overall pick, it signaled a shift from his typical approach.<\/p>\n Prior to free agency, the Rams traded for cornerback Trent McDuffie from the Kansas City Chiefs, giving up the 29th overall pick. After trading for McDuffie, the Rams signed his teammate in free agency, addressing their immediate needs at cornerback.\u201c<\/p>\n \u201cPS did anyone else think McSnead both looked pissed during their press conference this week?
