The Buffalo Bills<\/a> made a bold move to sign safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to bolster the defense.<\/p>\n Gardner-Johnson is known to be an intense player who will help revamp the Bills\u2019 secondary and defense with intensity. Yet, during the NFL<\/a> Draft, Buffalo has been linked to safety help, to pair alongside Cole Bishop, as the player could sit for a year and learn from Gardner-Johnson.<\/p>\n Yet, after Round 1 of the NFL Draft and before Rounds 2 and 3 on April 24, Gardner-Johnson sent a cryptic message on social media.<\/p>\n \u201cThe grass ain\u2019t always greener on the other side,\u201d Gardner-Johnson wrote on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n What Gardner-Johnson is posting about is unclear, as some fans believe it\u2019s about A.J. Brown and the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>, as that is his former teammate and team.<\/p>\n However, some Bills fans are worried he\u2019s already taking shots at his new team, as Stefon Diggs did.<\/p>\n \u201cAre you suggesting that the grass isn\u2019t greener in Buffalo please don\u2019t be cryptic like Diggs was. Tell us what you mean, brother,\u201d a fan wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know that firsthand,\u201d a fan added<\/a>.<\/p>\n However, most fans believe it is about Brown and the Eagles and don\u2019t understand why Gardner-Johnson was posting about it.<\/p>\n \u201cHave u tweeted about the bills literally once,\u201d a fan wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201calright gang you play for the bills like give it a rest,\u201d a fan added<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cCJ I love you and we love AJ but are you aware AJ is the one who doesn\u2019t want to be in Philly? Tf are they supposed to do???,\u201d a fan wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n For now, Brown remains on the Eagles, but a trade does seem likely, and Gardner-Johnson is worrying Philadelphia fans already.<\/p>\n Bills HC Eager to Have Gardner-Johnson<\/p>\n Buffalo signed Gardner-Johnson to a one-year deal to help bolster the secondary, and new head coach Joe Brady is eager to coach him.<\/p>\n Gardner-Johnson is an intense competitor, and Brady is excited to have<\/a> that in the locker room and on the field.<\/p>\n \u201cHe loves to compete,\u201d Brady said of Gardner-Johnson when speaking to reporters recently. \u201c(He\u2019s) done a great job in the weight room. You can hear him. The way the strength coach is talking about how he\u2019s been setting a tone and leading, I was extremely excited that we were able to get him \u2026 Really excited about what he can do for this football team.\u201d<\/p>\n Gardner-Johnson is expected to start at safety alongside Bishop. Buffalo also signed Geno Stone to a one-year deal to add depth to the position, while Damar Hamlin and Jordan Hancock are also expected to serve as depth at safety.<\/p>\n Gardner-Johnson recorded 66 tackles, 3 sacks, and 2 interceptions<\/a> last season between the Chicago Bears<\/a> and Houston Texans.
