However, they decided to go with a defensive theme for their second pick, taking edge rusher Gabe Jacas, in the second round with the 55thrd overall selection.<\/p>\n<p>This represented a bit of a change from what they did on Thursday night. The Patriots were not afraid to move up the draft board on Thursday, trading with the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/buffalo-bills\/\" title=\"Buffalo Bills\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"237332\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Buffalo Bills<\/a> to move up three spots in the draft.
