They continued showing that’s the case through the first two days of the draft.

First taking Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson on day one, they would then finish off day two by taking another skill position player: tight end Oscar Delp. Both huge additions, the Saints solved the mystery of who their WR2 will be by selecting Tyson. A huge weapon, his knack for making contested catches will come in handy with the offense. Someone like him would typically be a team’s top guy; however, the Saints have Chris Olave coming off of an All-Pro season.

The Delp selection has upped the disguise factor of the offense. He’s shown the ability to play across the line of scrimmage as a blocker but also has a lot of potential as a pass catcher. Furthermore, he brings championship-winning experience. He and Tyson are now the fourth and fifth offensive players added in the past two months.

The Saints have been building around Tyler Shough since the start of the offseason

Tyson and Delp are sure to be exciting additions for their quarterback, Tyler Shough. However, they’re the cherry on top to what has been an offseason that some QBs dream for. It’s something the team couldn’t do last year, and they’ve made sure to take full advantage of their offseason opportunities.

Since the onset of free agency, the Saints have been building around their next franchise quarterback. David Edwards was arguably the splashiest move of the offseason. Protection was a major issue last season, and Edwards was one of the best at it. That made him the top lineman on the market, and some teams had to look at plan B because the Black and Gold got to him first.

The Saints must’ve been in the splash zone because the highlight moves don’t stop there. They also snagged the top running back on the market: Travis Etienne. Although it is slightly surprising, the move is extremely beneficial given his multiple 1,000-yard seasons and the fact that he has played multiple full seasons. He can really take the load off of Kamara, who has struggled with health in recent years. With Etienne, Kamara might actually have his best season in years.

Later in March, New Orleans would complete the trifecta of free agency offensive additions. They and Tight End Noah Fant would finally agree to terms after missing out on the chance last offseason. Known as a pass-catcher, Fant has been a respected depth piece throughout his time in the NFL. A solid player, he and Delp have turned the depth of the TE room from a question mark to an exclamation point.

Compared to what it was in February, the Saints’ offense looks quite different. The upcoming offseason workouts and 2026 season can’t come soon enough, because Kellen Moore is looking to have something crazy up his sleeve.

Add us as a preferred source on GoogleFollow

Throughout the offseason, the New Orleans Saints have made it clear what their top priority is: building around…

[2076
7,896,55,2572,2571,6,397
0":"post-874437","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-new-orleans-saints","8":"tag-football","9":"tag-new-orleans","10":"tag-new-orleans-saints","11":"tag-neworleans","12":"tag-neworleanssaints","13":"tag-nfl","14":"tag-saints
["GET
