Tennessee Titans<\/a> coaches and executives will be wearing “Coach Mac” shirts during Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft to honor recently deceased former Titans coach and radio broadcaster Dave McGinnis<\/a>, to go along with “Coach Mac” pins that NFL officials across the league are wearing to honor McGinnis’ memory.<\/p>\n

McGinnis died on April 13 after a brief hospital stay. McGinnis coached the Titans defense from 2004-11 and worked as the team’s color commentator for radio broadcasts from 2017-25, working alongside Mike Keith and Taylor Zarzour.<\/p>\n

“My heart aches with the loss of Coach Mac<\/a>, who was so much more than a coach and broadcaster. He was family,” Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk said in a statement after McGinnis’ death. “Coach Mac gave so much of himself to this organization over the years and his passion, loyalty and love for the Titans never wavered. He cared deeply about the people around him, and that kindness and authenticity left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.<\/p>\n

“He held a very special place in our family, and his presence in our lives and within this franchise will never be forgotten. We will miss him dearly, and we will always be grateful for the legacy he leaves behind.”<\/p>\n

The Titans made three picks in the first two days of the 2026 NFL Draft, selecting WR Carnell Tate, DL Keldric Faulk and LB Anthony Hill Jr. They enter Day 3 of the NFL draft on April 25 with five more selections to make.<\/p>\n
