The\u00a02026 NFL Draft is officially in the books<\/a>, and even still, the New York Giants aren\u2019t close to being finished. Joe Schoen and the front office made seven picks across the three-day marathon, loading up on premium talent at edge rusher, offensive line, and the secondary.<\/p>\n

You\u2019d think seven new rookies would be enough to call it a day, but who am I to play fun police? The Giants hit the ground running once the draft wrapped, attacking the undrafted free-agent market with the same urgency they showed the past 72 hours.<\/p>\n

If there\u2019s one thing Schoen has made clear during this past draft, it\u2019s that he understands he’s on borrowed time if he can’t turn this thing around yesterday.<\/p>\n

With several needs still lingering at wide receiver, defensive line, and in the secondary, the Giants wasted no time lining up their first wave of post-draft additions. The ’26 class was already impressive. Here are the chip on their shoulder afterthoughts who’ll look to fight for a starting spot come Week 1.<\/p>\n

Everyone will point to the Giants signing a defensive tackle, and understandably so, since… you know who got traded to Cincinnati<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While longsnappers don’t typically run the news cycle, the addition of Mann is definitely one of note, if not solely for Giants fans. Mann\u2019s grandfather, Chuck Mercein, was actually selected 31st overall in 1965 by none other than Big Blue.<\/p>\n

If you thought Bobby Jamison-Travis was big (6-foot-3, 328 pounds), just wait. He’s going to look tiny compared to Barnes’ 6-foot-5, 340-pound frame. Reports suggest he’s down to 310 pounds, but still. Big. At this point, he’s strictly a space-eater with some lite athletic upside — he ran a 5.01 40 during Colorado’s Pro Day.<\/p>\n
