He was the No. 108 overall pick. The 5-foot-8-inch Washington Huskies running back scored 17 total touchdowns and averaged 4.9 yards a carry as a senior. Coleman spent two years at the University of Arizona before transferring to Washington in 2024. Coleman was widely considered one of the best running back prospects in this year&#8217;s draft. He racked up more than 1,000 all-purpose yards in each of his final three seasons in college. When he was at Lincoln High School, he was selected Second Team All Sac-Joaquin Section by MaxPreps in 2021. Coleman had extensive visits with Denver and also Minnesota ahead of the draft, KCRA 3 Sports Director Michelle Dapper reported. Heading into the draft, Coleman said he felt &#8220;amazing&#8221; and &#8220;blessed&#8221; and was grateful to family and others in his corner. \u201cYou get everything that you possibly need,\u201d he said when asked what he brings to a team. \u201cYou need a guy that can play four downs, a guy that\u2019s gonna play special teams and that\u2019s what you want. And you also want someone who is going to be good for the culture. And I felt like I\u2019ve adapted to every situation possible, as far as changing the culture, as far as being in the culture and bettering it.\u201d Meanwhile, another Stockton native, Zelmar Vedder, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs after the 6-foot-3-inch defensive back went undrafted on Saturday. Vedder played for East Union High School in Manteca.
