With the 2026 NFL Draft winding down, teams began turning their attention to rookie free agency. The New England Patriots were no exception, and they will once again be quite busy: the team of head coach Mike Vrabel and quasi-general manager Eliot Wolf has several open spots on its 90-man roster<\/a> available to be filled.<\/p>\n

Even though Vrabel will not be part of the process this weekend for personal reasons, the Patriots remain an attractive landing spot for UDFAs. Just last year, for example, two of their rookie free agent signings \u2014 WR Efton Chism and ED Elijah Ponder \u2014 were given an opportunity to receive quality snaps in training camp and preseason, and both eventually ended up on the initial roster.<\/p>\n

Every year is different, of course, but the Patriots under Vrabel and his predecessor Bill Belichick nonetheless remain an organization willing to give unheralded players a fair shot. Who will get that shot in 2026 will be seen, but we will track all of the signings as well as additional news and rumors right here.<\/p>\n

Welcome to the 2026 edition of our Patriots Undrafted Free Agency Tracker.<\/p>\n

Patriots undrafted free agency signings<\/p>\n

OL Jacob Rizy (Harvard): A versatile player on the interior of the offensive line, who is capable of lining up at center and guard, Rizy combines good size with impressive athleticism. During the pre-draft process, he registered a 9.88 Relative Athletic Score.<\/p>\n

WR Kyle Dixon (Culver-Stockton): Standing at 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, Dixon ran a 4.5-second 40-yard dash in the pre-draft process. He appeared in 22 games for the Wildcats and hauled in 143 passes for 2,394 yards and 24 touchdowns.<\/p>\n

CB Channing Canada (TCU): Canada brings some impressive speed to the Patriots\u2019 cornerback group. The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder ran a 4.35-second 40-yard dash leading up to the draft, which puts him in the 92nd percentile among cornerback prospects since 1999. A JUCO transfer, he appeared in 38 games over three seasons at TCU and intercepted two passes.<\/p>\n

WR Nick DeGennaro (James Madison): A six-year senior who also spent time at Maryland and Richmond, DeGennaro was primarily used as an outside receiver in college and also has some punt return experience. The 6-foot-0, 196-pounder caught 28 passes for 500 yards and five touchdowns in his lone season at James Madison in 2025.<\/p>\n

RB Myles Montgomery (UCF): Montgomery began his career in Cincinnati before a two-year stint at UCF. In total, he appeared in 41 games with 10 starts between his two stops and carried the ball 274 times for 1,546 yards and 11 touchdowns. In 2025, the 5-foot-10, 205-pound back was voted one of the Knights\u2019 team captains.<\/p>\n

WR Cameron Dorner (North Texas): After spending three season in Division II, Dorner posted 56 catches for 911 yards and eight touchdowns for North Texas last year as he was named Third Team All-American Conference. He\u2019s shifty after the catch with strong hands \u2014 dropping just one pass all of last season.<\/p>\n

TE Tanner Arkin (Illinois): Arkin has good size at the tight end position weighing in at 262 pounds which helps him in the run game, but he had extremely minimal college production. After starting his collegiate career at Colorado State, Arkin went to catch just 30 passes over his next three seasons at Illinois.<\/p>\n

WR Jimmy Kibble (Georgetown): A team captain for the Hoyas last season, Kibble had a career-year with 63 receptions, 1,002 yards and four touchdowns. The 6-foot-1 receiver finished his Georgetown career fourth in program history with 2593 career receiving yards.<\/p>\n

OG JonDarius Morgan (UAB): After starting his career at South Carolina, Morgan transferred to UAB where he went on to start 24 games at right guard over the last two seasons. The 6-foot-4, 320 pound guard finished on a high note not allowing allowing a sack last season.<\/p>\n

DT David Blay (Miami): The Patriots dip into their Miami connections to add a nose tackle, who comes in a different shape then Khyiris Tonga as more of a penetrator. Blay was an All-ACC Honorable Mention last season after starting his collegiate career in Division II and then Conference USA.<\/p>\n

CB Kenneth Harris (Oklahoma State): A sixth-year senior, Harris is a 6-foot cornerback who also spent some time at safety over his collegiate career at both Arkansa State and Oklahoma State.<\/p>\n

Patriots rookie minicamp invites<\/p>\n

DT Korey Foreman (Fresno State): The 6-foot-4, 270-pound Foreman will get an opportunity to showcase himself at Patriots rookie minicamp. Foreman began his career at USC and in his two seasons at Fresno State registered six sacks and three forced fumbles.<\/p>\n
