He remembers how Elway tutored John Lynch, who went on to become the general manager of the 49ers despite having no previous experience in a front office role.

He also made it clear that working with people is more important to him than dealing with player contracts.

“I’m not going to sit in there and deal with contracts, and find numbers — I’m not a numbers guy. When it comes to scouting, I’m not going to sit there and watch film for 20 hours a day, either,” Miller added. “I think my talent is just, people. Knowing people. The infrastructure of a team, knowing how to put together a schedule – just the daily grind of being a player in the National Football League. I know what it takes, and I know what it looks like to be a championship organization.”

Miller also made it clear that he can still play in the NFL. He is simply going to see which opportunity the universe gives him next and go from there.

It would be exciting to see Miller find a new level of success with the Broncos as a front office figure.

The Denver Broncos were quiet during the 2026 NFL Draft without a first- or second-round pick.
