The Diego Pavia sweepstakes<\/a> has finally come to an end. The 25-year-old undrafted<\/a> quarterback has signed a three-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens<\/a>, according to Adam Schefter. He will get a chance in the NFL after all.<\/p>\n

Pavia follows Jalon Daniels<\/a> (Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a>) and Haynes King<\/a> (Carolina Panthers<\/a>) as UDFA quarterbacks who found NFL homes post-draft. He will compete with fellow undrafted addition Joe Fagnano for the third quarterback spot behind Lamar Jackson<\/a> and Tyler Huntley<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 2025, Pavia finished second in the 2025 Heisman race behind Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, becoming the first Heisman finalist since Jordan Lynch<\/a> in 2014 to not get drafted.<\/p>\n

Diego Pavia\u2019s draft journey has been full of antics. The 2025 Heisman runner-up wasn\u2019t drafted in the 2026 NFL draft, partially due to his physical limitations. He stands at just 5-foot-9, shorter than any starting NFL quarterback, and his 40-yard dash of 4.76 seconds wasn\u2019t anything to write home about.<\/p>\n

Another big reason why he didn\u2019t get drafted was his character issues. He\u2019s shown that he can be a sore loser many times.<\/p>\n

After losing the Heisman trophy,<\/a> he was shown at a New York City nightclub next to a sign that read \u201cF*** Indiana.\u201d He then posted on his social media, \u201cF*** all the voters.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then, weeks before the NFL draft, a video came out of Pavia throwing cash at a dancer<\/a> in an Albuquerque gentlemen\u2019s club until 5 a.m.. There was also an incident during his time at New Mexico State, where he urinated<\/a> on the New Mexico logo in the Lobos indoor facility.<\/p>\n

The poor size and frame, plus the poor character, are why Pavia didn\u2019t get drafted in the NFL. Still, with his talent, he got a shot with the Baltimore Ravens.
