Jeremy Fowler of ESPN<\/a> reports that the Buccaneers \u201cscoured the earth\u201d for pass-rushing help before landing Rueben Bain Jr. at No. 15, including exploring the possibility of signing Trey<\/a>\u00a0Hendrickson<\/a> and acquiring Jonathan Greenard<\/a> from the Vikings.\u00a0
\nAccording to Fowler, Tampa Bay was hoping Bain or S Caleb Downs<\/a> would fall to them at 15, while Akheem Mesidor<\/a> was another option as well.\u00a0\u00a0
\nFowler writes to expect Bain to be used as an interior and edge rusher in Todd Bowles\u2019 system.<\/p>\n

Josh Kendall of The Athletic<\/a> takes a look at the Falcons\u2019 potential depth chart following the 2026 NFL Draft:<\/p>\n

After Michael Penix<\/a> and Tua Tagoavailoa at quarterback, Kendall notes that Trevor Siemian<\/a> will compete with undrafted QB Jack Strand for a backup role.\u00a0
\nAt the receiver position, Kendall has third-round Zachariah Branch<\/a> as a primary backup behind Drake London<\/a>, Jahan Dotson<\/a>, and Olamide Zaccheaus<\/a>.
\nKendall views the tight end role behind Kyle Pitts<\/a> as a position worth watching, given Austin Hooper<\/a> is a veteran, Charlie Woerner<\/a> isn\u2019t a pass-catching threat, and Joshua Simon has been on the practice squad since last year.\u00a0
\nKendall thinks the \u201cmost interesting\u201d position battle in training camp will be for the swing tackle role between Storm Norton<\/a>, Jack Nelson<\/a>, and Michael Jerrell<\/a>.
\nRegarding EDGE James Pearce<\/a> Jr. potentially facing discipline under the league\u2019s personal conduct policy, Kendall believes Atlanta not bringing in another player at the position is a sign that Pearce will have a \u201cpart in the rotation in the back half of the season.\u201d
\nKendall believes sixth-round DT Anterio Thompson<\/a> will have a difficult time making the roster after they traded for Maason Smith<\/a>.
\nKendall could see second-round CB Avieon Terrell<\/a> competing with Mike Hughes<\/a> for the starting outside role, or with Billy Bowman<\/a> for the nickel job.<\/p>\n

The Panthers took WR Chris Brazzell II<\/a> in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft after notching an impressive 4.37 in the 40-yard dash at the combine. Brazzell thinks his time could\u2019ve been even faster, given the laser system the combine uses is really sensitive.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, at the Combine, the laser, it will get you off any movement,\u201d Brazzell said, via Alex Zeitlow of the Charlotte Observer<\/a>. \u201cI moved slightly and before I even got to running, it\u2019s like 0.4 seconds already (gone)\u2026 It would have been a faster 40. I was trying to go again, but I had a few phone calls with some guys, and they recommended me not to go again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Canales said Brazzel was one of his favorite prospects in the draft and didn\u2019t expect him to fall to them in the third round.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s one of my favorite players in the draft,\u201d Canales said. \u201cJust his film over the last two years, when you look at Tulane (where he played from 2022-23) and you look at Tennessee and combine all of it, you\u2019re going to get a full picture of a route tree. Body control. Ability to do those things. We weren\u2019t expecting Chris to be there. We were sitting there, waiting, and he just kept dropping right to us. And what a great opportunity for us to just again add to that room.\u201d<\/p>\n

Canales acknowledged that they\u2019ve addressed the intermediate passing game with Xavier Legette<\/a>, Tetairoa McMillan<\/a>, and Jalen Coker<\/a>, while Brazzell provides a vertical threat.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve seen how we\u2019ve been able to use Xavier (Legette), TMac (Tetairoa McMillan<\/a>), Jalen (Coker) with all the intermediate stuff,\u201d Canales said. \u201cAnd we\u2019ve gone down the field a little bit. And taken some opportunities. But I think about the space created when they know this is a real burner. \u201cAnd what that does to safeties, what that does to corners \u2014 it just creates space for the whole group.\u201d<\/p>\n
