Former New York Giants<\/a> quarterback Russell Wilson<\/a> has received an offer from the Jets<\/a>, reports Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wilson began the 2025 season as the Giants’ starting quarterback but was extremely underwhelming in his lone year with the team. He was benched for rookie quarterback Jaxon Dart<\/a> after just four weeks, having failed to perform consistently at a high level aside from his strong Week 2 outing in Dallas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wilson met with the Jets at their facility last week and now appears to have a chance to reunite with his former teammate Geno Smith<\/a> in New York<\/a>. Following the visit, the 37-year-old quarterback addressed his options as he weighs his next move.<\/p>\n

“It was great,” he said. “They offered me, and I’m trying to figure out what the next best thing is for me to do. I still know I can play ball at a high level, but also I have an opportunity to do TV, so we’ll see what happens.”<\/p>\n

A 14-year veteran and likely future Hall of Famer, Wilson threw for 831 yards and three touchdowns in six games with the Giants in 2025. He now faces a decision after receiving the contract offer from the Jets.<\/p>\n

Should he sign, Wilson would serve as the Jets’ backup quarterback behind Geno Smith and would find himself back in New York for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n
