Allen <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/01\/30\/sports\/seahawks-expected-to-be-up-for-sale-after-super-bowl-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">put the team up for sale<\/a> in February, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/48712023\/seattle-seahawks-sale-buyers-less-interested-nfl-expected\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">according to a report from ESPN<\/a> on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s soft,\u201d a team owner told ESPN about the market for the defending Super Bowl champs.<\/p>\n<p>Another NFL executive noted that: \u201cThere isn\u2019t as much action as there was with\u00a0Denver\u00a0and\u00a0Washington,\u201d referring to the two most recent NFL franchise sales.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39325224\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/GettyImages-2260605709.jpg\" alt=\"Seattle Seahawks' players celebrate as they ride on an open-top bus during the Seattle Seahawks' Superbowl LX victory parade in Seattle, Washington, on February 11, 2026.\" class=\"wp-image-39325224\"  \/>Seattle Seahawks\u2019 players celebrate as they ride on an open-top bus during the Seattle Seahawks\u2019 Super Bowl LX victory parade in Seattle, Washington, on February 11, 2026. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting that the Celtics adopted a similar strategy shortly after their 2024 NBA title. <\/p>\n<p>Wyc Grousbeck announced his intentions to sell the team following its 2024 championship after owning the team for more than 20 years. <\/p>\n<p>The sale was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/story\/_\/id\/46015579\/boston-celtics-sale-finalized-bill-chisholm-takes-owner\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">finalized for an NBA record $6.1 billion<\/a> last summer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"It appears that the Seahawks are still trying to sell high, but interest hasn\u2019t really peaked.
