After a day full of news centered on Cam Ward on Thursday, the Tennessee Titans<\/a> seemed to have shifted the light to wide receiver on Friday.<\/p>\n

After being awarded wideout Courtney Jackson off waivers, word broke that the team has come to terms with fourth overall selection Carnell Tate on his rookie contract, a fully guaranteed four-year deal worth $51,134,914, with a $33,649,028 signing bonus.<\/p>\n

This process has become almost a formality after changes to the collective bargaining agreement that set the value of first-round deals based on their draft slot, ending what was once a long, often drawn-out process. Tate becomes the third-highest draft pick to sign his rookie deal, following second overall pick David Bailey, who also signed his rookie deal with the New York Jets<\/a> on Friday, and the Arizona Cardinals<\/a>‘ pick, running back Jeremiyah Love.<\/p>\n

With Tate in the fold, Tennessee can turn its attention to Keldric Faulk and Anthony Hill, its final unsigned draft choices.<\/p>\n
