In a conference call on Monday, Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch announced that his network will broadcast the Detroit Lions<\/a>‘ Week 10 game in Germany on Nov. 15 as part of a triple-header. It’s the first triple-header of games<\/a> for any broadcaster.<\/p>\n

Kickoff for the game is set for 9:30 a.m. ET from FC Bayern Munich Stadium in Munich, Germany. The opponent is still yet to be announced.<\/p>\n

The Lions<\/a>‘ trip to Munich will mark the franchise’s third international game. Detroit played at Wembley Stadium in London in back-to-back seasons in 2014 and 2015. The Lions beat the Atlanta Falcons<\/a>, 22-21, on Oct. 26, 2014. Then, on Nov. 1, 2015, the Lions fell to the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> in London, 45-10.<\/p>\n

In its first international game, then-Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford<\/a> passed for 325 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Detroit rallied from a 21-0 halftime deficit to down the Falcons. Golden Tate<\/a> caught seven passes for 151 yards and a score.<\/p>\n

The Lions won with a 48-yard field goal from kicker Matt Prater<\/a>. Prater had just missed a 43-yard try, but a delay of game penalty gave him another opportunity and Prater drilled the 48-yarder.<\/p>\n

It will be the sixth NFL game played in Germany and the third in Munich.<\/p>\n

This season, a record nine international contests will be played across four continents, seven countries and eight stadiums.<\/p>\n

There will be three London games (two in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, one in Wembley Stadium); a game at Bernab\u00e9u Stadium in Madrid, Spain; the San Francisco 49ers<\/a> will play the Los Angeles Rams<\/a> at Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia; a game from Estadio Banorte in Mexico City; a game from Stade de France Stadium in Paris; and the Baltimore Ravens<\/a> will meet the Dallas Cowboys<\/a> from Maracan\u00e3 Stadium in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0entire 2026 NFL schedule release<\/a>\u00a0will take place on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n
