{"id":889471,"date":"2026-05-12T19:27:18","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T19:27:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/889471\/"},"modified":"2026-05-12T19:27:18","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T19:27:18","slug":"metro-not-planning-rfk-stadium-rail-station-suggests-bus-line-nbc4-washington","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/889471\/","title":{"rendered":"Metro not planning RFK Stadium rail station, suggests bus line \u2013 NBC4 Washington"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Metro is not recommending the construction of a new Metrorail station at the Commanders\u2019 future home at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcwashington.com\/tag\/rfk-stadium\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">RFK Stadium<\/a> site, documents released Tuesday reveal.<\/p>\n<p>The transit agency instead recommended the creation of a rapid bus line called the Gold Line that would connect to Metrorail and buses at Union Station. <\/p>\n<p>Metro also recommended major improvements to the Stadium-Armory Metro station.
