The Kansas City Chiefs will be represented by Mike Bradway and Eric Bieniemy at the NFL\u2019s revamped accelerator program during this week\u2019s NFL Owners Meetings in Orlando, Florida.<\/p>\n

A pair of Kansas City Chiefs are in Orlando, Florida, for a special opportunity during the NFL\u2019s next batch of team owners meetings.<\/p>\n

Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy and Assistant GM Mike Bradway<\/a> will participate in the NFL\u2019s coaching and front-office accelerator program. It returns after the league took a year-long hiatus to help reimagine it to provide more meaningful opportunities to its participants.
Bieniemy, for instance, has attended multiple accelerator events in the past, yet he still couldn\u2019t land a head-coaching opportunity following the 2022 NFL season. In fact, the program has only produced one head coach (Aaron Glenn) and two general managers (Ran Carthon & Ian Cunningham) since its inception.<\/p>\n

Eric Bieniemy & Mike Bradway Quick Facts<\/p>\n

Bieniemy is in his second tenure with the Chiefs. He first joined in 2013 as RBs coach before working his way up to offensive coordinator. Bradway joined the Chiefs during the 2018 NFL season, first as Assistant Director of Player Personnel.<\/p>\n

Bieniemy began his NFL coaching career as a running backs coach and assistant head coach with the Minnesota Vikings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bradway spent a decade (2008-2017) with the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> before joining the Chiefs in 2018.<\/p>\n

There are two big changes to the NFL\u2019s accelerator program. First, they\u2019ve now opened their doors to non-minority coaching and front office candidates. Second, the league has sought to shrink the total participant pool. This year, they will have 34 participants, with no club having more than 3.<\/p>\n

Initially, the revamped accelerator program was intended to get participants more face time with league owners. Unfortunately, that won\u2019t happen this time around as the league had to change the schedule at the meeting, truncating it to a single day. Bieniemy and Bradway will have the opportunity to mingle with NFL owners at lunch on Tuesday as part of the accelerator program.<\/p>\n

The league has indicated that this is just the launching point for the reimagined accelerator program.
