With the Washington Commanders<\/a>\u2019 2026 schedule released, the team is looking to bounce back after a regression in 2025 on both sides of the ball. As Commanders quarterback <\/a>Jayden Daniels<\/a> looks to lead in the offseason to an explosive 2026 season, one player on offense that will be key is wide receiver Terry McLaurin<\/a>, as the new offensive coordinator already has big plans.<\/p>\n

Former quarterback and now Washington offensive coordinator David Blough<\/a> had said earlier in the year that he wants to give McLaurin 10 targets a game. Let\u2019s just say that McLaurin loves hearing that<\/a> and expresses how good a relationship the 30-year-0ld and the coach have already.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love that. He told me that way back in February. He texted me that\u2026and he\u2019s been a man of his word,\u201d McLaurin said, via JP Finlay. \u201cAnd my job is to prove that each and every day, when we\u2019re having workouts, to be the leader, to be someone who you can count on to be on the field and make plays, and it\u2019s all I\u2019ve been asking for, that\u2019s all I want, so to win games and have a big part of that. So I was definitely smiling when I saw that come across his phone, and from OTAs and stuff, I could definitely tell that\u2019s going to be a part of it, along with the other guys as well, there\u2019s going to be opportunities for me to take away coverage.\u201d<\/p>\n

Terry McLaurin and the Commanders look to have a bounce-back season<\/p>\n

McLaurin would continue talking about how \u201ccool\u201d the Commanders\u2019 offense will look, as the receiver this past season recorded 582 yards on 38 catches and three touchdowns in 10 games.<\/p>\n

At any rate, McLaurin, Daniels, Blough, and the rest of Washington look to improve after the team finished with a 5-12 record, which put them third in the NFC East, a year removed after reaching the NFC title game and winning the division.<\/p>\n
