(WSMV) &#8211; The Tennessee Titans have announced the hiring of Dave Gardi as executive vice president, football operations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Gardi joins the Titans having most recently spent the last two seasons with the Washington Commanders as senior vice president of football initiatives. Prior to Washington, Gardi spent 21 years at the NFL league office, holding the title of senior vice president of football operations for the last 10 years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In his role as EVP, Football Operations, Gardi will oversee football administration, football strategy and analytics, football research, football information systems, video, equipment, team operations, and security, while reporting directly to General Manager Mike Borgonzi.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to have Dave join us here in Nashville,\u201d said General Manager Mike Borgonzi. \u201cHe\u2019s extremely respected around the NFL and brings a plethora of experience and valuable perspective, molded together by two decades at the league office, in addition to time on the club side of operations. Dave will make an immediate impact here with the Titans and we\u2019re excited to welcome him and his family to Tennessee.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">As senior vice president of football initiatives, Gardi supported Washington\u2019s coaching staff and front office in several critically important areas, including in-game management duties, ensuring compliance with league protocols, analyzing officiating trends, and serving as a key liaison to the league office.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"link | text-reset d-block h-100 w-100\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsmv.com\/page\/our-apps\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_self\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"WSMV\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1779334778_624_WCZWEBRKNJC6BHZCWR4ZBCEHIA.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"245\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">As senior vice president of football operations with the NFL league office, Gardi helped construct and develop policies and procedures that ensured competitive balance and integrity of the game, while also overseeing the administration of league rules on gamedays.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Before working in the football operations department with the league office, Gardi advised clubs on matters related to the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement, including player contracts, salary cap and league policies, among others.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A Sayville, N.Y., native, Gardi played quarterback for four years at Brown while earning a bachelor\u2019s in political science.
