After what was a rather disappointing season for the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> a year ago, I’m of the belief that they’re going to figure things out at a very high level this season.<\/p>\n

I’m very interested to see what this offense looks like with the right play-caller running it, and I do believe new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion can really be the guy.<\/p>\n

Still, this is the NFL, and given what the Eagles showed us at times last year, there are certainly many media members and fans skeptical that this team will play as well as it typically does. Prior to last season, there was a few-year stretch when the Eagles were by far the best team in the NFL week in and week out.<\/p>\n

One NFL.com writer believes there’s a possibility that things can go south for the Eagles this season, going as far as saying that they might not even make the playoffs.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre the Eagles at risk of suffering their first playoff-less season under Nick Sirianni? If they don’t start hot, they just might. Although I have them exacting revenge on the Bears<\/a> (281 rushing yards allowed last year) and Rams<\/a> (one of the wildest games of 2025) in Weeks 3-4, should those games go sideways for Philly, the reigning NFC East champs could return from their UK adventure against the Jags with a sub-.500 record and pressure mounting ahead of a home tilt with the Panthers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“They’ll need to stack wins away from the Linc (31st-hardest road SOS) and during the middle chunk of their schedule to keep their tournament hopes alive — both of which seem reasonable for a team this talented,\u201d Tom Blair of NFL.com wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I’d be very surprised to see the Eagles not make the playoffs, and the division is the biggest reason why.<\/p>\n

To me, the Eagles are still the best team in the NFC East, though the Dallas Cowboys are a respectable team, and there seems to be a feeling that the New York Giants<\/a> are going to be a lot better next season.<\/p>\n
