I\u2019m like, \u2018No, Lavonte, that ain\u2019t you, bro.\u2019 And that kind of like stuck with me. Like, \u2018I\u2019m trippin\u2019. I gotta lock back in.’\u201d<\/p>\n
Joe\u2019s not trying to urinate upon David\u2019s great career, but him loafing and getting called by teammates is a telling nugget as it relates to last season\u2019s collapse. David was the leader of the defense, a captain of the team.<\/p>\n
If a guy players look to is loafing, that\u2019s a usually a recipe for trouble.<\/p>\n
David noted he has \u201ctrauma\u201d from early NFL coaches him riding him for maximum effort at all times (see Commander Greg Schiano), so he\u2019s extra sensitive about his own effort.<\/p>\n
