New England Patriots<\/a> second-year offensive lineman Jared Wilson<\/a> had high praise for veteran Alijah Vera-Tucker<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wilson started at left guard for the Patriots<\/a> throughout the 2025 season, despite being drafted at center. He is set to move back to center in 2026 with Vera-Tucker, the former New York Jets<\/a>‘ first-round draft pick, taking over at left guard.<\/p>\n

Vera-Tucker signed with the Patriots to a three-year, $42 million contract in free agency. At only 26 years old, the Patriots are hopeful that he can solidify the future at left guard. Wilson is clearly on board with the vision after seeing Vera-Tucker on the practice field.<\/p>\n

“Athletic freak. His feet are crazy,” Wilson said on Vera-Tucker.<\/p>\n

The Patriots have worked hard to improve the offensive line.<\/p>\n

With Vera-Tucker stepping in at left guard and Wilson moving back to center, there is hope for better stability across the offensive front. That goes without mentioning the team spending two draft picks on left tackles Caleb Lomu and Dametrious Crownover to solidify their depth.<\/p>\n

The Patriots are in a position to field one of their best offensive line units in years.<\/p>\n
