For example, Mahomes has the most passing touchdowns (245) and passing yards (32,352) for any player through 112 career starts in NFL history. Additionally, Mahomes has never finished shy of the AFC Championship Game in his seven years as a starting quarterback, leading Kansas City to five conference titles and three Super Bowl championships.

– Kansas City drafted wide receiver Xavier Worthy with the No. 28 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Worthy went on to tally 742 scrimmage yards and nine total touchdowns as a rookie.

– The Chiefs selected cornerback Trent McDuffie with the No. 21 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. McDuffie has appeared in 43 games for Kansas City over the last three years, earning All-Pro nods in each of the last two seasons.

– Kansas City acquired defensive end George Karlaftis with the No. 30 overall selection in the 2022 NFL Draft. Karlaftis has appeared in 49 games for the Chiefs over the last three seasons, tallying 24.5 sacks.

– The Chiefs have a knack for drafting prolific pass rushers in the first round, as Derrick Thomas (126.5), Tamba Hali (89.5), Neil Smith (85.5) and Art Still (73.0) are four of the top six sack artists in franchise history. Thomas was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2009.

– Tony Gonzalez, who has the most career catches (1,325) and receiving yards (15,127) by a tight end in NFL history, was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019. He was the Chiefs’ first-round selection in 1997.

– Linebacker Derrick Johnson – the Chiefs’ first-round pick in 2005 – owns the franchise mark for the most tackles (1,262) in team history.

And here’s a look at who the Chiefs have drafted in the first round since 1967: 2024 |…

[4
501,346,7,497,118,110,6,15,498,499,505,503,502,504,500
0":"post-89961","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-nfl-draft","8":"tag-andy-reid","9":"tag-chiefs","10":"tag-football","11":"tag-geha-field-at-arrowhead-stadium","12":"tag-kansas-city","13":"tag-kansas-city-chiefs","14":"tag-nfl","15":"tag-nfl-draft","16":"tag-nfl-football","17":"tag-patrick-mahomes","18":"tag-super-bowl","19":"tag-super-bowl-iv","20":"tag-super-bowl-liv","21":"tag-super-bowl-lvii","22":"tag-travis-kelce
["GET
