The New Orleans Saints<\/a> are in the midst of making a significant decision on their star running back, Alvin Kamara<\/a>, who is heading into the final season of his contract and is owed $11.5 million.<\/p>\n

As that offseason decision and a potential trade loom, the five-time Pro Bowler is enjoying his time away from the football field and participating in some Savannah Bananas baseball.<\/p>\n

Kamara, who played his college football for the Tennessee Volunteers, appeared at Neyland Stadium in Tennessee, where he entered the game in a Bananas uniform to run bases.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old stepped onto the field to loud cheers and gestured to the crowd to make more noise for his appearance, running and skipping around enthusiastically.<\/p>\n

However, once Kamara reached the base, he began clutching at the back of his leg and hobbling as if he was suddenly hurt. First base coach Maceo Harrison walked over to check on Kamara, making sure he was alright.<\/p>\n

He was perfectly fine, because after a few minutes of his performance to fool everyone, he participated in some dance moves with Harrison to the hip-hop song \u201cWalk it Out.\u201d<\/p>\n

After hitting some of what looked like a choreographed and synchronized dance, Harrison and Kamara slapped hands before the Saints star hopped back over to the base.<\/p>\n

It was a fun moment during the offseason, and NFL<\/a> insider Ian Rapoport was among several who shared the fun clip on X, prompting reactions from commenters.<\/p>\n

\u201cAye man, that hamstring grab not funny dawg lol,\u201d one commenter wrote in the X replies.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe gone be playing for them too if he don\u2019t have a good season this year,\u201d someone commented.<\/p>\n

Another commenter said, \u201csoon to be ex Saint Alvin Kamara,\u201d suggesting a trade from New Orleans is imminent.<\/p>\n

Seeing those sorts of antics from Kamara could certainly show he\u2019s ready to retire, and that still could happen.<\/p>\n

It seems he\u2019s still capable of being a highly productive back for the right team, with rumors and speculative trades linking him to the Green Bay Packers<\/a>, Dallas Cowboys<\/a>, and Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kamara set a career high with 950 rushing yards in 2024, but appeared in just 11 games last season due to an MCL sprain in Week 12 and finished with 471 yards and a single touchdown. The 2017 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year achieved five Pro Bowl selections, with the last in 2021.<\/p>\n

ESPN\u2019s Katherine Terrell<\/a> reported that the Saints said they were \u201cgetting close\u201d to resolving their situation with Kamara after signing free agent Travis Etienne Jr.<\/a> to a four-year deal averaging $11.8 million. However, Saints general manager Mickey Loomis also\u00a0indicated they were deciding on how he best fits the roster.<\/p>\n

Kamara has indicated his desire to remain with the Saints or potentially retire, and that might give him more time to enjoy other pursuits, such as Savannah Bananas baseball appearances.<\/p>\n
