The New Orleans Saints are on the verge of making the decision that could dictate whether or not they’re going to be a winning season. Actually, the ripples of this decision could extend into the next few seasons.<\/p>\n
In the next few weeks, the Saints<\/a> will have to decide if they’re going to retain one of the greatest running backs in franchise history, Alvin Kamara.<\/p>\n The Kamara Decision the Saints Have To Make<\/p>\n Kamara is entering the final year of his contract, and he’s set to make a ton of money this season. Which is going to be a big portion of the Saints’ salary cap. That means we could be preparing for a major shift with the Saints franchise.<\/p>\n Where Could Kamara End Up After New Orleans?<\/p>\n So if the Saints go ahead and release Kamara, where will he go? Its very safe to say he’s not going to retire, so he’s going to be looking for a new team.<\/p>\n The list of teams looking for a running back in the final years of his career will be determined by how much money he’s looking for. If he’s willing to take a big enough pay cut, why wouldn’t he just stay in New Orleans<\/a>?<\/p>\n If he’s not going to take a pay cut, that means you have to find a team in need of a running back, and management who is a little unhinged. Which is actually a team that currently exists in the NFL.<\/p>\n
