The New York Jets<\/a> are signing former Atlanta Falcons<\/a> kicker Younghoe Koo<\/a> to their roster, according to NFL reporter Connor Hughes. Koo spent the majority of his career in Atlanta but was released early in the 2025 season after a crucial missed kick against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The life of an NFL kicker is a week-to-week experience, and Koo perfectly embodies this. He was a consistent and clutch performer for the majority of his six-plus years in Atlanta. However, Koo struggled over his final two seasons as he dealt with a leg injury.<\/p>\n

The New York Giants<\/a> signed Koo in the middle of the 2025 NFL season. The 31-year-old appeared in five games for the Giants, making four out of six field-goal attempts and 11 out of 12 extra points.<\/p>\n

Koo was waived by New York in December and later tried out for the New Orleans Saints<\/a> at their rookie minicamp. Now, Koo gets to have another chance in New York, this time with the Jets.<\/p>\n

Koo converted 178 of 205 field-goal attempts and 166 of 173 extra-point attempts over 89 starts with the Falcons from 2019-2025. Hopefully, the former Pro Bowl kicker can find his footing again with the Jets.<\/p>\n

Coincidentally, the Falcons signed former Jets kicker Nick Folk<\/a> to replace Zane Gonzalez<\/a> over the offseason.<\/p>\n
