General manager Mike Borgonzi has had a busy offseason and has almost completely overhauled the Tennessee Titans<\/a> this offseason. Between a new coaching staff headed by Robert Saleh and the addition of multiple players, this team looks completely different from what it was at this point in 2025.<\/p>\n

With all the changes, analysts and insiders can look at many different aspects of the organization as they break down their favorite offseason moves<\/a>, and Mike Sando of The Athletic decided to focus more on the coaching staff than on the players.<\/p>\n

Tennessee TitansLeaning into New York reclamation projects<\/p>\n

No one is saying the Tennessee job is easy or that Titans owner Amy Adams-Strunk has proved to possess a stable hand. This is a tough job in its own way. But in hiring new coach Robert Saleh and new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, the Titans are leaning into leaders who were coaches in the NFL\u2019s toughest market.<\/p>\n

Saleh, the former Jets<\/a> coach, and Daboll, fired by the Giants<\/a> in January, have landed in a market where the bright lights shine on Lower Broadway more than on the football operation. We\u2019ve seen quarterbacks leave the Jets (Sam Darnold<\/a>) and Giants (Daniel Jones<\/a>) to find success in less challenging markets. Perhaps the same can hold true for Saleh and Daboll.<\/p>\n

The pressure cooker that is New York can have a significant impact on both players and coaches, and as Sando points out, there is a history of players showing tremendous improvements once they are removed from the spotlight, and from the initial signals coming out of the facility, the two coaches are helping change the culture of the organization.<\/p>\n
