The Green Bay Packers<\/a> have been urged to trade for New Orleans Saints<\/a> star Alvin Kamara<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Given the uncertainty around Josh Jacobs<\/a>‘ status as the legal and NFL processes play out, the Packers could benefit from adding Kamara.<\/p>\n

“Kicking over a midround pick to the Saints for Kamara’s services should now be atop Green Bay<\/a>‘s to-do list as it looks to stabilize the offense and stay the course following three straight playoff trips,” Alex Kay of Bleacher Report<\/a> wrote.<\/p>\n

Kamara is entering the final year of a two-year, $24.5 million extension and doesn’t quite fit the Saints’ current timeline. The 30-year-old is better suited to play for a contender like the Packers.<\/p>\n

For the Saints last season, Kamara played in 11 games. He had 471 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown and 186 receiving yards.<\/p>\n

New Orleans<\/a> converted Kamara’s salary into a signing bonus and saved over $8.1 million under the cap for next season. Kamara’s 2026 salary was on the books for less than half of what he received in 2025, which opened the door for this restructure under what’s known as the 50 percent rule.<\/p>\n

“Even if Jacobs is ultimately cleared and returns to Green Bay this season, Kamara would still profile as an ideal complementary option for a team with legitimate Super Bowl aspirations,” Kay wrote.<\/p>\n

Adding Kamara next to Jordan Love<\/a>, Christian Watson<\/a>, Jayden Reed<\/a> and Tucker Kraft<\/a> would make Green Bay’s offense more explosive. Kamara isn’t the superstar he used to be, but he’s still one of the best playmakers in the NFL.<\/p>\n

A five-time Pro Bowler, Kamara has 7,250 rushing yards, 61 rushing touchdowns, 4,948 receiving yards and 25 receiving touchdowns in his career. He’s one of the most versatile RBs in NFL history.<\/p>\n

Green Bay’s defense will probably struggle to begin next season since Micah Parsons<\/a> won’t be ready to play. That means Love and the offense will have to carry the load and having Kamara in the lineup from Week 1 would be a huge boost.<\/p>\n

It will be fascinating to see if the Packers pursue a trade for Kamara. Green Bay hasn’t won a playoff game since 2023. Desperate times call for desperate measures.<\/p>\n
