CHARLOTTE, N.C.\u00a0\u2014 Carolina Panthers<\/a> coach Dave Canales did not sound alarmed.<\/p>\n

Several top players, such as guard Robert Hunt<\/a> and outside linebackers Jaelan Phillips<\/a> and Patrick Jones II, are nursing minor injuries and were sidelined from Tuesday’s NFL offseason training activities (OTAs)<\/a> practice.<\/p>\n

Breakout candidate Jonathon Brooks<\/a>, who is trying to come back from back-to-back right knee surgeries, was also held out of specific team drills. The third-year running back missed all of 2025.<\/p>\n

Hunt, who suffered a torn left biceps during Week 2 last season, suffered from what Canales described as “some soreness.” He was expected to participate in Thursday’s workout.<\/p>\n

“The last two days we just brought him down a little bit and we’ll get him back out there on Thursday, I think,” Canales said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Phillips and Jones<\/a> were awarded rest days.<\/p>\n

“Even in this time of year, it’s a lot of movement, it’s a lot of speed out there,” Canales said. “We just try to be smart with certain guys and make sure the rhythm is right.<\/p>\n

“We’ll get them rolling pretty soon.”<\/p>\n
