The Los Angeles Rams<\/a> made a blockbuster trade move on Monday, acquiring two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Myles Garrett<\/a>, from the Cleveland Browns<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The move made the Rams an even stronger contender to win next season\u2019s Super Bowl than it was going into the offseason. And now, there are rumors that three-time NFL DPOY Aaron Donald<\/a> is considering coming out of retirement to join forces with Garrett on the Rams next season.<\/p>\n

With the Super Bowl set to take place at SoFi Stadium in 2027, Los Angeles Chargers<\/a> safety Derwin James<\/a> Jr. wants to go head-to-head with the LA rivals in the championship game.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, I play defense, I don\u2019t gotta block those guys,\u201d James said jokingly on \u201cGood Morning Football\u201d <\/a>when asked about the Rams getting Garrett and potentially adding Donald back into the defensive line.<\/p>\n

\u201cSecond of all, nothing but respect for Myles Garrett and those guys out there. He\u2019s one of the best pass rushers of all time. I feel like he\u2019s going to do great for them. It\u2019s great for them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m more excited for my team. Hopefully it\u2019s Rams-Chargers in the Super Bowl. I can\u2019t wait, it\u2019s at SoFi, so that will be very exciting,\u201d James added.<\/p>\n

What Moves Have The Chargers Made This Offseason?<\/p>\n

The Chargers have also made some big roster moves this offseason. Most recently, the Chargers signed tight end David Njoku<\/a> to a one-year deal worth up to $8 million in mid-May.<\/p>\n

Back in March, the Chargers bolstered the offensive line by signing guard Cole Strange<\/a> and center Tyler Biadasz<\/a> in free agency. Additionally, the Chargers signed fullback Alec Ingold<\/a> and tight end Charlie Kolar<\/a> to free agent deals. Kolar\u2019s three-year, $24.3 million made him the NFL\u2019s highest-paid blocking tight end.<\/p>\n

In that same month, Los Angeles<\/a> also extended Khalil Mack<\/a> and Trey Pipkins<\/a> III.<\/p>\n

The Chargers\u2019 biggest moves of the offseason have been within the coaching staff. Los Angeles hired Mike McDaniel as the team\u2019s new offensive coordinator and Chris O\u2019Leary as defensive coordinator.<\/p>\n
