BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – New Orleans Saints defensive lineman and former LSU star Davon Godchaux is thrilled Ed Orgeron is back on the Tigers staff.<\/p>\n

\u201cLove that guy. Love that guy to death,\u201d Godchaux told WAFB sports director Jacques Doucet Wednesday, \u201cDid a lot for me and my family. Did a lot for me as a player. Told me that one day I\u2019d be playing in the NFL for a long time. Told me things I needed to work on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Godchaux was a standout at Plaquemine High School before playing collegiately for LSU from 2014-17. Orgeron was initially Godchaux\u2019s positions coach with the Tigers in 2015, before taking over for the fired Les Miles as the Tigers interim head coach in 2016.<\/p>\n

Godchaux went on to become a 5th round draft selection by the Miami Dolphins in the 2017 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n
