Former Rice corner Sean Fresch Jr. playing for St. Louis Battlehawks in UFL (UFL, KPRC 2)<\/p>\n

HOUSTON \u2013 The Texans worked out St. Louis Battlehawks All-United Football League punt returner Sean Fresch Jr., per a league source.<\/p>\n

Fresch, a former Rice standout who has 4.40 speed and a 41-inch vertical leap,led the UFL with 333 punt return yards and averaged 10.4 yards per punt return.<\/p>\n

He recorded 29 tackles, 1 1\/2 sacks and four passes defended.<\/p>\n

Fresch participated in the Texans\u2019 local prospect day last year before going undrafted and signing with the San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL.<\/p>\n

The Austin native and former All-Conference USA freshman selection started 42 games for the Owls. He had 52 tackles, nine passes defensed and one interception as a senior. He also caught a 40-yard pass.<\/p>\n
