OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – This year\u2019s College World Series is the first for MECA\u2019s new CEO and president, Adam Straight.<\/p>\n

Straight came to the metro from New Orleans in January of 2026. Straight served as chief operating officer for the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center<\/a>, the sixth largest convention center in the country. Arenas he oversaw have hosted Super Bowls, NCAA Final Fours and the College Football Playoff Championships. Straight said he feels well prepared to take on the CWS.<\/p>\n

\u201cEach event is a little different right? I learned in a very short time with the preparation that goes into the College World Series that this is one unique event that I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy,\u201d Straight said.<\/p>\n

New this year for Charles Schwab Field: <\/a>a new scoreboard over left field, new LED stadium lights that are interactive and new ribbon boards to better the fan experience.<\/p>\n
