{"id":917870,"date":"2026-06-13T15:21:19","date_gmt":"2026-06-13T15:21:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/917870\/"},"modified":"2026-06-13T15:21:19","modified_gmt":"2026-06-13T15:21:19","slug":"sam-beal-still-missing-almost-one-year-later-as-ex-giants-family-continues-search","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/917870\/","title":{"rendered":"Sam Beal still missing almost one year later as ex-Giant\u2019s family continues search"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former Giants draft pick Sam Beal remains <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/01\/12\/sports\/ex-giants-corner-sam-beal-has-been-missing-for-months\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">missing nearly one year<\/a> after his family last heard from him in the Virginia Beach area.<\/p>\n<p>His sister, Essence Zhane, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/essence.threats.5\/posts\/pfbid0UUWDEwW6D5C2uBG7HW8TnZNPTs7G79VGEsXYYjhtBuXRR6xdSkLQnZeHJrGNBUyml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">updated her Facebook status Friday night<\/a> with the police\u2019s missing persons report on Beal, who played in nine games with three starts for the Giants from 2018-21.<\/p>\n<p>Beal, 29, was last seen on July 12, 2025 by his girlfriend after dropping her off at a family member\u2019s house and borrowing the car, per the police.<\/p>\n<p>He <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/01\/16\/sports\/troubling-details-emerge-in-ex-giant-sam-beals-bizarre-disappearance\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">spoke to her for the final time the next day<\/a> and said he was about to head home from Virginia Beach.<\/p>\n<p>The car was recovered in Virginia Beach and contained Beal\u2019s shoes and socks and some sand on the floor of the passenger side seat, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Beal is said to have had nothing with him besides the clothes on his back, a pair of slides and a wallet containing his banking card and driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39666295\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/23-speaks-press-practice-friday-21667950.jpg\" alt=\"New York Giants defensive back Sam Beal speaking to the press.\" class=\"wp-image-39666295\"  \/>Sam Beal with the Giants in 2019. for the NY POST<\/p>\n<p>Zhane has made repeated pleas for information on her Facebook page.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve done everything we could on our end to piece things together and at this point we\u2019re in desperate need of support on all ends,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/01\/14\/sports\/missing-former-giant-sam-beals-sister-speaks-out-in-emotional-plea-to-brother-police\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">she wrote in January<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not here to answer a bunch of why\u2019s and how\u2019s I just need this to land in the right direction to gain some form of answers or closure.
