Cincinnati Bengals<\/a>\u00a0second-round linebacker Demetrius Knight Jr. is hard at work learning from those around him at OTAs as he gets ready to step into what should be a big role in 2025.<\/p>\n

Knight has gone out of his way to learn from fellow linebacker Logan Wilson, of course, lining up next to him for reps.<\/p>\n

But he’s also learning from Joe Burrow.<\/p>\n

As Geoff Hobson<\/a> pointed out, Knight is a former quarterback and he’s been going out of his way to pick Burrow’s brain when he gets the chance.<\/p>\n

“Guys (in college) maybe hesitate with a call or the whole look to the sideline thing. He goes up here with a Plan A, B, and C, with three or four different things in mind. ‘If they do this, I change to this.’ That’s why he’s great,” Knight said, per Hobson. “That’s why he’s going to wear a gold jacket some day. It’s instrumental to my growth and everybody going across from him.”<\/p>\n

Knight, alongside a few others, spearheads the youth movement for the Bengals<\/a> under new coordinator Al Golden. He’s almost assuredly replacing Germaine Pratt, barring a stunning return for the veteran who requested a trade earlier this offseason.<\/p>\n

One of two linebackers the Bengals drafted this year, Knight has certainly landed in a spot that provides the perfect combination of playing time opportunity and surrounding environment capable of helping him develop quickly.<\/p>\n
