The 24-year-old defender was waived by the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday afternoon, prior to the start of the second day of the <a href=\"https:\/\/pantherswire.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nfl\/panthers\/2025\/04\/26\/carolina-panthers-nfl-draft-class-picks\/83298302007\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2025 NFL draft<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An Aliquippa, Penn. native, Devonshire split his five-year collegiate career between the University of Kentucky and the University of Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n<p>Over his two seasons in Lexington, he amassed six tackles and two passes defensed over 12 outings.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;d become more of a factor for the Panthers, appearing in 38 games from 2021 to 2023. Devonshire\u2014who wound up a two-time second-team All-ACC selection\u2014totaled 84 combined tackles, eight interceptions (three of which resulted in touchdowns) and 22 passes defensed at Pitt.<\/p>\n<p>Devonshire was then taken by the Raiders in the seventh round of the 2024 draft.
