Mayor Muriel Bowser<\/a> that will be \u201cbe highly beneficial\u201d for the District. Harris said the $2.7B the team will contribute to the stadium is the largest investment in D.C. history. Harris: \u201cThe project has incredible ROI for D.C., literally billions of tax revenues, thousands of homes and thousands of jobs. \u2026 And of that, 30% are, by agreement, going to be affordable homes. And so it\u2019s going to raise the standard. And then you get an amazing entertainment district.\u201d Harris noted the redevelopment of the Anacostia River is \u201cgoing to change D.C.\u201d However, he added they still \u201chave some work to do.\u201d Harris: \u201cThe next step for us is to obviously get the council\u2019s vote. You\u2019ve got to tell the citizens and the politicians \u2026 why this is good for the city, why they should invest their money in this.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-facilities \">Harris also touched on:<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-facilities \">* Being the steward of a team: Harris &#8212; who owns multiple teams in the U.S. and abroad &#8212; said the common thread to being a good steward is \u201cbuilding amazing fan experience, player experience, and something that helps the cities.\u201d He added you are \u201csteward of people\u2019s memories and how they feel.\u201d He noted starting with \u201cthat as a premise, you say \u2026 My North Star is going to be, \u2018how do we create amazing memories?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-facilities \">* Moving up to 11th from last on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/02\/27\/nflpa-team-report-cards-how-nfc-teams-did-in-the-25-survey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/02\/27\/nflpa-team-report-cards-how-nfc-teams-did-in-the-25-survey\/\">the NFLPA\u2019s latest report card<\/a>: Harris emphasized wanting to \u201cbecome a destination for players.\u201d Harris: \u201cYour job is to become a destination where they feel like they matter, you care about them, and the way that you articulate that is to create amazing facilities to make their lives easier.
