The Denver Broncos<\/a> went through hell between their last Super Bowl and where they\u2019re at now. The biggest issue was not finding their quarterback. Over the last ten years, Denver has started around 14 different quarterbacks. Now, they don\u2019t have to worry about those kinds of issues.<\/p>\n

They now have their franchise guy, and that was evident last year. Nix just kept finding ways to win games, whether they were close or not; he learned how to win. That was really what he needed most, and, of course, there are still other things to work on, too. He finished with nearly 4,000 passing yards, 25 passing TDs, and 11 interceptions. He also finished with 356 rushing yards and five rushing TDs. If he\u2019s healthy, and it seems like he will be,<\/a> there\u2019s no telling what kind of season he could have. And, he\u2019s not afraid to tell everyone what his goals are.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, I think it\u2019s just like each and every year,\u201d Nix told reporters on Tuesday. \u201cI want to have a great completion percentage and put the ball in play. I want to have very few turnovers and mental errors. At the end of the day, if you asked every quarterback that question, they would want to win the Super Bowl and earn an MVP.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what is going to be my goal each and every year. Now some of those don\u2019t have to do with me, it\u2019s voted by someone else. But at the same time, you have to give them a reason not to choose you. Super Bowl is a little bit cleaner because it\u2019s actually something you can do for yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

You have to love that from Nix, but, at the same time, he\u2019s kind of wrong. If you ask every QB what they want to do, most of the time, the only answer will be to win a Super Bowl. A lot of them don\u2019t want to say to win an MVP because it seems selfish. But, it\u2019s not\u2014Nix just really cares about getting better and being the best.<\/p>\n

What better way to tell you you\u2019re the best than by winning MVP? Sure, most players don\u2019t say they want to, but they all want to. Those are the kinds of things you dream about as a kid. If Nix can improve on those numbers, putting up around 4,200 passing yards, 30 touchdowns, and no more than 15 interceptions, he can win the MVP. That\u2019s, of course, with Denver being a Super Bowl contender. Who knows, maybe the MVP season is loading now.<\/p>\n
