Football wasn\u2019t background noise \u2014 it was the schedule. That early exposure eventually turned into a career path built on repetition, preparation, and a willingness to step into any broadcast moment presented to him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">While joining Garrett Downing and Clifton Brown on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=gA0DUSAQbGE&amp;list=PL1KpWFBMlkAHBfIDrL_Bzth7FZ6XP0LIX&amp;index=1\" data-t-l=\":b|z|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Lounge<\/a> podcast, Youmans traced the long road that led him to Baltimore, starting with his upbringing in Waco, Texas, and continuing through his time at the University of North Texas, where he began sharpening his broadcasting identity in a competitive sports market.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cSports for me was everything growing up,\u201d he said. \u201cWe were always playing something in the backyard, and then the Dallas Cowboys were on the TV. That\u2019s just what we did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">That foundation eventually led to a major break with the Dallas Cowboys media team in 2019, where he built out a multi-layered role as a TV host, pregame and postgame anchor, and fill-in play-by-play voice. He wasn\u2019t locked into one lane. Instead, he built credibility by being ready when opportunities shifted, including moments where he had to step into live broadcasts with little notice and perform at the NFL level.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">That adaptability is part of what makes this Ravens hire more than symbolic.
