The Tennessee Titans<\/a> have a new look in 2026, and it’s not just the logo and uniform updates. The entire coaching staff got an overhaul, and there are plenty of new faces on the roster. Offensively, the Titans added Wan’Dale Robinson, Daniel Bellinger, and Carnell Tate, among others.<\/p>\n

Recently, ESPN’s Bill Barnwell ranked<\/a> each team’s skill position players. The Titans weren’t last, and they rank higher in 2026 than they did in 2025 (32); they’re still toward the bottom of the list at 25. Last year, Barnwell wrote that the 2025 wide receiver group could be entirely different in 2026, and he was almost right. Calvin Ridley is still WR1, and he took a pay cut to stay in Tennessee after suffering a broken leg in 2025.<\/p>\n

The addition of Robinson gives Cam Ward a solid slot receiver who can create space and gain yards after the catch, as well as slip away from defenders to get open. Tate is an unknown variable at this point, but Barnwell points out that the upside is there. He also points out that if these three receivers don’t perform, the Titans don’t have much behind them.<\/p>\n

If Tate looks like Emeka Egbuka did as a rookie with the Bucs<\/a> last fall, the Titans should be just fine. Leaving his price tag aside, Robinson is a perfectly reasonable fit as the WR2\/WR3 option with his ability after the catch. Ridley has averaged an even 2.0 yards per route run in Tennessee, which is an above-average figure, but he’s coming off a fractured fibula and turns 32 during the season.<\/p>\n

Of course, if the three wideouts don’t perform, there’s not much behind them. Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike were overmatched in starting roles a year ago. The Titans replaced Chig Okonkwo with blocking tight end Daniel Bellinger, and nominal receiving tight end Gunnar Helm averaged just over 8 yards per catch as a rookie. Tony Pollard continues to soldier on as an eminently solid veteran back, but the Titans need Tate to develop quickly to give this offense some much-needed star power.<\/p>\n

Barnwell’s ranking puts more emphasis on wide receivers than tight ends or running backs because recent history has shown us how the NFL values receivers over the other two positions.<\/p>\n

With Ridley healthy, Robinson wanting to prove himself to the league again, and Tate looking to establish himself as an elite receiver, the Titans have weapons that want to succeed. With the personnel changes, this team is a wild card right now. On paper, it looks like they’re in a much better position entering the 2026 season than they were in 2025.
