The Seattle Seahawks<\/a> will hold their second OTA practice on Thursday<\/a>. Organized team activities are completely voluntary, but they represent an excellent opportunity for the rookies to begin bonding with the veterans in a team-like setting. This is especially true for Klint Kubiak’s offense, where several first-year players are attempting to make an instant impression on the new offensive coordinator and play caller.<\/p>\n

Purposely omitting Grey Zabel<\/a> and Jalen Milroe<\/a>, we’ve identified three of the more underrated offensive rookies worth monitoring.<\/p>\n

Elijah Arroyo, TE<\/p>\n

All the attention is understandably on Zabel and Milroe, but rookie tight end Elijah Arroyo<\/a> could arguably have the biggest year-one impact. Arroyo was drafted to be a mismatch weapon in the passing game, using his athleticism to stretch opposing defenses up the seam. He could immediately dethrone Noah Fant as Seattle’s best tight end.<\/p>\n

Damien Martinez, RB<\/p>\n

It’ll be tough sledding for Damien Martinez<\/a> to earn carries on offense when Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet are healthy, but the former Miami product should impress even in a non-contact setting. Martinez rushed for 1,002 yards last season. The 6-foot, 217 pound specimen will look even better once the pads come on later this summer.<\/p>\n

Ricky White III, WR<\/p>\n

Ricky White III<\/a> plays with the type of intensity that should make an immediate impact on special teams. That’s probably White’s cleanest pathway to a 53-man roster spot as a rookie seventh rounder.
