(KCTV) &#8211; The first member of the 2026 University of Missouri Sports Hall of Fame was announced with a bit of surprise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In a video shared by Mizzou Athletics, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid surprised former Tigers linebacker Nick Bolton, following a recent practice with the Chiefs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cYou guys know I\u2019m a Missouri Tiger at heart,\u201d Reid said as he addressed the team before surprising Bolton. \u201cWe got a couple Missouri Tigers here, but we got one that\u2019s real, real famous right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Reid continued: \u201cNot only for his play here with the Chiefs, but also what he did for the University of Missouri. Which was great things. He did great things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Reid called Bolton a team guy, \u201cthe ultimate team guy,\u201d before telling the team captain and two-time Super Bowl champion that he\u2019d be inducted into Mizzou\u2019s Sports Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Bolton\u2019s Chiefs teammates celebrated his honor, with a few \u201cMIZ\u201d chants heard<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MizzouAthletics\/status\/2071642820025176349?s=20\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MizzouAthletics\/status\/2071642820025176349?s=20\"> in the video.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Bolton, who played at Mizzou from 2018 through 2020, was drafted by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cJust an honor,\u201d Bolton said. \u201cThe state, the city from Columbia all the way to Kansas City, man, it\u2019s kind of been my home and my peace and yeah, lot of friends and lot of memories.
