The Arizona Wildcats finished out their Official Visit Season two weeks ago and now comes the Dead Period, which lasts until the end of July and no official visits can take place. Brent Brennan and Company had a successful June, and on Friday the work they’ve put in came to fruition for a key position.

Caden Jones, a 3-star quarterback from Southern California, announced his commitment. Jones, the younger brother of current UA redshirt freshman linebacker Carter Jones, picked the Wildcats over Baylor and Washington and becomes the fourth Class of 2027 player from Crean Lutheran High School in Irvine, Calif., to pick the Wildcats.

Jones has played varsity all three seasons at Crean, with last year being his best. As a junior, Jones tallied 3,044 yards on 244-for-326 passing, 30 touchdown and a pick. He added 261 yards on 31 carries and a score on the ground. As a freshman and sophomore, Jones played 14 total games. He went a combined 90-for-122 for 1,069 yards passing, with 12 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He also had 19 carries for 44 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jones is also a very solid basketball player and has earned attention on the recruiting trail in that sport as well.

Jones has 40 reported offers and chose Arizona over Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, California, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, TCU, UCLA, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.

He is a high 3-star in the eyes of 247Sports. Internally, they have him as the No. 36 QB and the No. 43 player in California. In the Composite, Jones checks in as the No. 613 player nationally, the No. 36 QB and the 47th-best player in California.

Jones joins Crean three Crean teammates in Arizona’s 2027 class: receivers Ty Johnson and Braylen Ross and cornerback Evan Mack. Overall he’s the 16th pledge in the class, eighth on offense and fifth from California.

You can view Jones’ junior season highlights below.

The Arizona Wildcats finished out their Official Visit Season two weeks ago and now comes the Dead Period,…

[5
52664,99398,7,49,48
post-935840","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-ncaa-football","tag-arizona-football","tag-arizona-recruiting","tag-football","tag-ncaa","tag-ncaa-football
["GET
